Manipal Kallada Travels is a university town situated in the state of Karnataka in India. It is a suburb within Udupi city and is administered by Udupi City Municipality. It is located in the rocky hinterland of the Malabar Coast of south west India, about 8 km (5 mi) from the Arabian Sea. From its location on a plateau, it commands a view of the Arabian Sea to the west and the Western Ghats range to the east.

Manipal Kallada Travels was previously under Shivalli village panchayat. The name is derived from manipalla angliced to Manipal.Palla means stream in Tulu Language. The town gained prominence in the 1950s, when T.M.A. Pai, doctor, banker, educator, industrialist and philanthropist transformed a barren hillock into what is today a renowned university town. Pai first established the Kasturba Medical College in 1953, and Manipal Institute of Technology in 1957. In the year 1999 the Posts and Telegraph department of the Government of India released a commemorative stamp in honour of Pai. Manipal Institute of Communication is a constituent college of Manipal University. It is one of the premier journalism and communication colleges in India.

1) PERUNTHENARUVI

Perunthenaruvi, the famous waterfall, is situated 36 km. away from Pathanamthitta. The water falls in the Pamba River at Perunthenaruvi attracts thousands of people from inside and outside the district. The water flows down a rocky bed into a ravine sixty to one hundred feet down. This is a beautiful natural waterfall and an ideal place of tourist attraction. It is only 10 km. from Erumeli and accessible by trekking or by Jeep.

2) CHARALKUNNU

It is a small beautiful and picturesque hill station located at Thottappuzhassery village with an area of 14.46 km2. and at a distance of 18 km. from Pathanamthitta and 5 km. from Kozhenchery. This hill station developed in to a major centre of Social, Cultural and religious activities of Marthoma Church in Kerala offers a panoramic view of the nearby valleys including that of the river Pamba.
